Puppy Boot Camp

Dog Training Boot Camp is a great training program that involves both private lessons and board and trainThis is a specialized program where you want a great puppy, but don’t have the time to perform most of the training.  We come to your house between 2 and 4 times a week for approximately 6 weeks or until you have received 16 training sessions (number of sessions may be adjusted, based on specific needs).  During our first session, we will review your needs, explain our methods, and create an initial training “wish list”.  We will also begin to work on the initial issues so that we can assess your puppy’s current level of knowledge and that you can begin to observe our methods.  This session lasts between 1 1/2 and 3 hours.

Our following sessions do not always require your involvement.  We will work with your puppy on the initial exercises or behavior modifications with the goal of improvement or success at the end of the session.  These sessions normally last about 45 minutes due to the short attention span and focus of puppies.

After about the first 4 sessions, we will begin to ask you to perform homework between our visits.  This homework will normally be the exercises that we have successfully completed.  The purpose of your homework is to begin to have your puppy start to focus and obey you.  From time to time, you will be asked to participate in our training sessions so that we can resolve any specific issues you may have in performing the exercises. Your participation could also be required so that we can discuss and expand the scope of the exercises or discuss behavior traits we have noticed.

We will provide you with your own Web Page detailing the progress after each session and leaving you with homework assignments (as necessary).

General areas addressed:

  • Socialization
  • Aggressive Behavior (special cases)
